Krabi, Thailand is always one of the most popular destinations for travelers from all over the world because it has cheap prices, good food, and many great hotels.

There are many ways to get from Krabi Ao Nang Airport to Ao Nang Beach, where many hotels are located.

Let’s take a look that best transportation from Airport to Ao Nang beach Hotel.

1. Grab

Grab is a very convenient taxi service that can be used anywhere in Southeast Asia. Of course, I tried to use Grab in Thailand, but when I Googled it, there were many reviews saying that it was hard to catch because of the conflict with the airport taxi, and that I used it well.

2. inDrive

InDrive is a taxi service that is often used in Krabi along with Grab. I used it for the first time and installed the app, and it was available in Kuching Malaysia.

3. Airport taxi

Airport taxis have fixed prices in Krabi and you buy a ticket at the booth to board.

4. Private van

We ride in a large van privately, but the price is expensive because the vehicle is large. Usually, you can make reservations in advance through Agoda or Klook.

5. Share Van

As the name suggests, a Share Van is a method of filling up the van’s seats with people going to nearby hotels and arriving at the destination via hotels.

6. Hotel Shuttle

You have to pay the most for a hotel shuttle. I don’t know if anyone uses it since the hotel I stayed at costs 800 baht for a one-way ticket. It seems to be the safest method.

If you organize by the most expensive price (one way),

1) Hotel shuttle: 800 baht

2) Private van: 700 baht

3) Airport taxi: 600 baht

4) Grab: 482 baht

5) Indrive: 290 baht

6) Share van: 150 baht (per person)

*I heard there is also Bolt like Grab or Indrive, but I saw a review saying it was not that good, so I passed from the beginning.

When we arrived at the airport, we searched for Grab and Indrive and found out the price, and Grab was much more expensive than Indrive. So we tried to call Indrive, but there were a lot of people trying to solicit customers from the ATM.

At first, they said 600 baht for 3 people, but when we said it was expensive, they lowered it to 400 baht. So we followed the lady next to us who said 300 baht for 3 people. Because there was almost no price difference with Indrive.

When I asked, “Aren’t you waiting for someone else?” and “Are you leaving right away?”, they said they were leaving right away and gave me a ticket and told me where to go. I thought it was so cheap, but it turned out to be a share van. Haha. Still, we didn’t have to wait long and took 2 more people, so we filled the van with 10 people and left.

It took about 50 minutes from airport to the Ao Nang Beach Hotel. It stopped 3 times on the way and people got off. The car was big and the road was good, so it wasn’t bad.

Later, I asked a travel agency near the hotel that operates an airport van, and they said it was 150 baht per person, regardless of whether you are a child or an adult, since they all take a seat. Luckily, there were 3 of us when we came to the hotel, and they didn’t charge for the children. Haha.

When moving from airport to the hotel, you should consider the number of people traveling and the size of your luggage, and choose the cheapest method among the above methods.

I hope this helps those who find best transportation Thailand airport to Ao Nang Beach Hotel.
